This role is responsible for executing high-quality mechanical and electrical repairs while ensuring adherence to OEM standards and safety protocols. It focuses on delivering efficient vehicle diagnostics and maintenance services to maximize customer satisfaction and workshop productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform periodic maintenance services, major mechanical repairs, and engine overhauls as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and OBD scanners to identify complex mechanical and electrical faults.
- Execute repairs on braking systems, suspension, steering, and transmission components with high precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized bay while ensuring all specialized workshop tools are handled with care.
- Document all findings and parts replaced accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS) and job cards.
- Collaborate with the Service Advisor to provide technical explanations and cost estimates for additional repairs.
- Ensure all vehicles undergo a thorough quality check and road test before being marked for delivery.
- Strictly follow workshop safety standards and ensure proper disposal of hazardous waste like engine oil and coolants.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an authorized dealership or a multi-brand service center.
- Expertise in using pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license to perform vehicle road tests.
- Strong understanding of BS-VI engine technology and emission standards.
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced workshop environment for extended hours.
Preferred
- OEM-specific certification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 technician status).
- Basic knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage systems and safety.
- Experience with wheel alignment and balancing machinery.

Qualifications

Certifications: OEM Technical Certification, Pollution Under Control (PUC) operation certification (optional)
Work Environment
On-site authorized workshop; 6 days a week (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM); includes exposure to noise and lubricants.
