Job Description

This role involves overseeing all structural repair and painting operations to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of technicians, manage inventory of paint and consumables, and ensure all repairs meet OEM safety and aesthetic standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily bodyshop operations including denting, painting, and structural repair workflows.
  • Ensure all vehicle repairs are executed according to manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Supervise the team of technicians and painters to ensure strict adherence to turnaround time (TAT) targets.
  • Coordinate with insurance surveyors and assess damage to prepare accurate repair estimates.
  • Monitor paint booth operations and maintain equipment efficiency to reduce material wastage.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workshop environment in compliance with 5S and safety standards.
  • Address customer grievances related to body repairs and ensure timely resolution.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of proven experience in an automotive bodyshop environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of denting, painting, and welding processes.
  • Proficiency in DMS (Dealer Management System) for repair order processing.
  • Strong understanding of insurance claim procedures and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills in local language and English.

Preferred

  • Prior experience working with premium or multi-brand dealerships.
  • Familiarity with modern color-matching and paint-mixing technologies.
  • Certification in automotive collision repair or body shop management.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma or B.E. in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 1-3 years in an automotive workshop or bodyshop setting

Certifications: Valid Driving License, OEM specific bodyshop training (if applicable)

Work Environment

On-site, full-time position in a high-paced workshop environment with 6 working days per week.
