The focus is on managing the entire lifecycle of a vehicle's repair, from initial damage assessment and estimation to final delivery, while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough initial inspections of accident-damaged vehicles to prepare accurate repair estimates using DMS tools.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and surveyors for timely vehicle inspections and claim approvals.
- Explain the scope of work, estimated costs, and timelines clearly to customers to ensure transparency and trust.
- Monitor the progress of body and paint work in the workshop to ensure adherence to OEM quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Manage the end-to-end documentation process for cashless and reimbursement insurance claims as per insurer guidelines.
- Upsell value-added services such as anti-rust coating, ceramic coating, or detailing during the repair process.
- Perform final quality checks before vehicle delivery to ensure all reported damages are addressed professionally.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding repair status and any additional work discovered during teardown.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in an automotive bodyshop or service department within an authorized dealership.
- Proven track record in handling insurance claims and interacting with insurance surveyors.
- Sound knowledge of body repair processes including denting, painting, and chassis alignment.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) for job card creation and billing.
- Excellent communication skills in the local language and functional English.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license is mandatory for vehicle movement and testing.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with a major OEM brand (Maruti, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra, etc.).
- Knowledge of paint mixing and color matching processes.
- Familiarity with digital estimation tools and insurance portals like Audatex or similar.
