This role bridges the gap between vehicle owners and the technical repair team, ensuring that accidental repairs are handled efficiently and transparently. It involves managing the end-to-end process from initial damage assessment and insurance claim filing to final delivery of a restored vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prepare detailed body repair estimates using standard labor codes.
- Liaise with insurance companies and surveyors to facilitate claim approvals and cashless settlements.
- Communicate repair timelines, cost breakdowns, and technical requirements clearly to customers.
- Coordinate with the paint shop and body repair technicians to ensure OEM quality standards are met.
- Update the Dealer Management System (DMS) daily with real-time job status and spare parts requirements.
- Manage the insurance renewal process and cross-sell value-added services like ceramic coating or anti-rust treatments.
- Ensure all safety protocols and environmental compliance measures are followed during the repair process.
- Handle customer grievances related to bodywork quality or insurance delays with professional resolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop Advisor in an authorized automobile dealership.
- In-depth knowledge of accidental repair processes, including denting and painting workflows.
- Thorough understanding of insurance claim procedures and surveyor coordination.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the local regional language.
- Strong proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and Microsoft Excel.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for moving vehicles within the workshop.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Prior exposure to IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) guidelines.
- Familiarity with paint-matching technology and estimation software like Audatex or Glassmatix.
