This role acts as the primary liaison between customers, insurance companies, and the workshop for all accidental repair requirements. It focuses on ensuring accurate damage estimation, seamless insurance claim processing, and high-quality vehicle restoration within stipulated timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough initial vehicle damage inspections and prepare detailed repair estimates for customers and insurance surveyors.
- Coordinate with insurance company surveyors to facilitate timely inspections, re-inspections, and claim approvals.
- Explain repair processes, costs, and insurance coverage details clearly to customers to build trust and transparency.
- Monitor the vehicle's progress through the denting and painting stages to ensure adherence to promised delivery dates.
- Order and track necessary spare parts specifically for accidental repair jobs through the inventory management system.
- Ensure all documentation for cashless and reimbursement claims is accurately completed as per IRDA and company norms.
- Perform a final quality check on the vehicle post-repair to ensure it meets OEM standards and customer expectations.
- Manage and resolve customer queries or grievances related to accidental repairs and insurance settlements.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a Body Shop Advisor or Service Advisor in an authorized automotive workshop.
- Thorough understanding of motor insurance policies, claim procedures, and 'cashless' facility workflows.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as SAP, Autoline, or similar platforms.
- Technical knowledge of automotive body repair, painting processes, and spare parts pricing.
- Fluency in the local regional language and functional proficiency in English.
- Strong negotiation skills to interact effectively with insurance surveyors.
Preferred
- Prior experience with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for moving vehicles within the workshop.
- Knowledge of estimation software like Audatex or similar industry tools.
