This role involves overseeing the end-to-end inventory operations of the spare parts warehouse to ensure maximum availability for the service department. The focus is on maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing aging inventory, and ensuring 100% compliance with OEM standards and taxation norms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations including Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing, binning, and parts issuance to the workshop.
- Monitor inventory levels using ABC and VED analysis to ensure high fill rates while minimizing dead stock.
- Coordinate with OEM suppliers and regional distribution centers for timely procurement and back-order management.
- Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Ensure strict compliance with GST documentation, E-way bills, and gate pass protocols for all incoming and outgoing parts.
- Supervise a team of store assistants and pickers to maintain 5S standards and workplace safety within the warehouse.
- Handle warranty parts return processes and claim documentation as per OEM guidelines.
- Generate and present weekly MIS reports on stock turnover ratio, lost sales, and inventory aging to the management.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive spare parts management at an authorized dealership.
- Hands-on proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as SAP, Autoline, or Oracle.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive components and part numbering systems.
- Expertise in MS Excel for data analysis and inventory tracking.
- Ability to manage a 6-day work week in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of managing warehouse teams and logistics.
Preferred
- Experience working with leading Passenger Vehicle (PV) or Commercial Vehicle (CV) brands.
- Knowledge of Lean Warehouse Management or Six Sigma principles.
- Familiarity with local language for effective coordination with ground staff and local vendors.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate in any stream (B.Com preferred) or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

Certifications: Certification in Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a plus, OEM-specific Parts Manager Certification
