This role focuses on managing the end-to-end motor insurance process for new and existing vehicle owners. It involves educating customers on policy benefits, managing timely renewals, and ensuring seamless coordination between the dealership and insurance providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on various motor insurance products, add-on covers, and policy benefits at the time of vehicle purchase.
- Manage the insurance renewal database and proactively reach out to customers to ensure timely policy renewals.
- Generate insurance quotes and process policy issuances through the Dealer Management System (DMS) and insurance portals.
- Coordinate with insurance companies for claim registration and follow up on surveyor inspections for cashless settlements.
- Maintain meticulous records of premium collections, policy copies, and endorsement requests.
- Explain the advantages of the dealership's tie-up insurance versus outside providers to maximize in-house retention.
- Ensure all insurance operations comply with IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) guidelines and OEM standards.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in any stream (B.Com, BBA, B.A., or B.Sc.)
- Excellent communication skills in the local language and functional English
- Basic proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data management
- Willingness to work in a target-oriented sales and service environment
- Strong attention to detail for error-free documentation
- Ability to handle customer grievances professionally
Preferred
- Valid IRDA certification (Composite or Non-Life)
- Prior internship or training experience in the automotive or insurance sector
- Knowledge of motor insurance terminology and claim processes
