This role involves performing high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance services to ensure optimal performance and safety for customer vehicles. It requires diagnosing complex mechanical issues and implementing effective solutions while strictly adhering to manufacturer quality standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using OEM-specific diagnostic scanners and specialized tools.
- Execute major repairs on engines, gearboxes, suspension systems, and braking units according to service manuals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop bay while ensuring all tools are accounted for and properly serviced.
- Document all repair work, labor hours, and parts used in the Dealer Management System (DMS) for accurate billing.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors to provide technical explanations for customers regarding necessary repairs.
- Ensure 100% compliance with workshop safety regulations and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in OEM training programs to stay updated on the latest vehicle technologies and repair techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a mechanic in an authorized automotive workshop or service center.
- Hands-on expertise in internal combustion engines, transmissions, and vehicle subsystems.
- Ability to operate hydraulic lifts, pneumatic tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Physical stamina to work in a demanding, high-activity workshop environment.
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license for testing vehicle performance.
- Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems and wiring diagrams.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with a major OEM brand (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai, or Mahindra).
- Specialization in specific systems such as Automatic Transmissions or HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of BS-VI engine technology and modern emission control standards.

Certifications: OEM Technical Certification (Bronze/Silver level), EV Safety Awareness Certification (preferred)
Work Environment
Standard workshop environment with a 6-day work week. On-site presence is mandatory. Exposure to noise, oils, and mechanical equipment is expected.
