This role involves spearheading the dealership's revenue growth by implementing strategic sales initiatives and mentoring a high-performing sales team. The focus is on maintaining operational excellence through diligent inventory management and fostering long-term relationships with both customers and OEM partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of Sales Consultants to achieve monthly and quarterly retail and wholesale targets.
- Monitor and manage the entire sales pipeline using CRM and ERP software to ensure high lead-to-booking conversion ratios.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to develop effective local marketing and sales strategies.
- Coordinate with the workshop and logistics teams to ensure timely vehicle delivery and adherence to Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) standards.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM standards, corporate identity guidelines, and standardized sales processes.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team on product knowledge, negotiation skills, and customer handling techniques.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the sales department, including discount management and department profitability tracking.
- Handle escalated customer grievances to ensure high levels of satisfaction and brand loyalty.
Requirements
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the Indian automotive sector.
- Excellent command over the local language and English for effective professional communication.
- Strong proficiency in computer operations, specifically Microsoft Excel and Dealer Management Systems (DMS) or ERP software.
- Deep understanding of the local automotive market dynamics and customer buying behavior.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and willingness to travel for field visits and corporate meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of 10 or more members effectively.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with a leading Indian or International OEM dealership network.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media lead generation platforms.
- Existing network within the local automotive ecosystem including financiers and insurance providers.

Qualifications

Certifications: OEM Sales Management Certification, Professional Sales Training or Leadership Workshop Certification
Work Environment
Professional dealership environment, on-site role. Standard working hours are 6 days a week, typically from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
