Key Responsibilities
- Perform periodic maintenance services (PMS) including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups according to the service schedule.
- Assist senior technicians in complex engine and transmission overhauls to learn advanced diagnostic and repair techniques.
- Conduct basic mechanical inspections and electrical checks using multi-meters and brand-specific scanning tools.
- Execute brake pad replacements, suspension greasing, and wheel alignment procedures with high precision.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned work bay and tool trolley in accordance with 5S standards.
- Complete job cards accurately and document all parts replaced to ensure seamless data entry into the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Adhere strictly to workshop safety protocols, including the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hazardous waste disposal.
- Participate in daily tool-box talks and internal training sessions to stay updated on new vehicle models and technologies.
Requirements
- Fundamental understanding of internal combustion engines and automotive sub-systems.
- Hands-on ability to use standard workshop hand tools and pneumatic equipment safely.
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced workshop environment and handle heavy components.
- Willingness to work a standard 6-day week with rotational shift timings.
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license for moving vehicles within the workshop.
- Strong commitment to workplace discipline and punctuality.
Preferred
- Basic awareness of Electric Vehicle (EV) components and high-voltage safety.
- Prior vocational training or internship at an authorized dealership workshop.
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical manuals and circuit diagrams.
