This leadership position involves steering the entire sales division of an authorized dealership to achieve market leadership and operational excellence. It focuses on driving revenue through strategic planning, nurturing OEM partnerships, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual volume targets set by the OEM.
- Lead and mentor a large team including Sales Managers, Team Leaders, and Sales Consultants to maintain high performance and low attrition.
- Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement for the sales department, ensuring cost optimization and healthy margins.
- Oversee inventory management and stock rotation to minimize aging and optimize working capital.
- Maintain strong relationships with OEM representatives to ensure compliance with brand standards and leverage marketing support.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales tactics.
- Ensure 100% adherence to CRM processes and lead management systems to maximize conversion rates.
- Monitor and improve Customer Satisfaction (CSI) and Net Promoter Scores (NPS) to build long-term brand loyalty.
Requirements
- Proven track record of managing high-volume automotive dealerships in India.
- In-depth knowledge of the local automotive market, financing options, and insurance processes.
- Strong understanding of dealership management systems (DMS) and digital sales tools.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close high-value corporate deals.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing departmental budgets.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and willingness to travel for OEM meetings.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, target-driven environment with a 6-day work week.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands in an Indian metro city.
- Existing network with corporate clients, fleet operators, and government departments.
- Familiarity with modern digital marketing and social media lead generation strategies.
