This role focuses on performing high-level diagnostics and complex mechanical repairs on a wide range of motorcycles and scooters to ensure peak performance and safety. It requires a dedicated professional capable of delivering high-quality service while strictly adhering to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and workshop safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive engine overhauling and complex mechanical repairs on various two-wheeler models.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using advanced diagnostic tools and OBD scanners.
- Execute periodic maintenance services including oil changes, brake adjustments, and fuel system cleaning.
- Conduct thorough road tests to verify repair quality and ensure vehicle safety before customer delivery.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians and apprentices on technical best practices and workshop protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and labor time within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Ensure the workshop bay is kept clean and all specialized tools are maintained in optimal working condition.
- Liaise with Service Advisors to provide technical explanations and cost estimates for complex repairs.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a reputable two-wheeler workshop or authorized service center.
- In-depth knowledge of BS6 (Bharat Stage 6) fuel-injection systems and electronic components.
- Valid two-wheeler driving license for conducting mandatory test rides.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and wiring diagrams.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy motorcycles and work in a standing position for extended shifts.
- Strong understanding of workshop safety protocols and hazardous waste disposal.
Preferred
- Experience working with premium or high-capacity (300cc+) engine motorcycles.
- Previous technical training or certification from a major OEM such as Hero, Honda, TVS, or Bajaj.
- Basic computer literacy for logging service data and checking parts inventory.
