This role involves conducting thorough physical and technical inspections of pre-owned vehicles to determine their market value accurately. You will play a critical role in the procurement process by ensuring that all vehicle assessments adhere to company quality standards and fair pricing policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical inspections of vehicles to assess condition, including engine performance, bodywork, and interior wear.
• Utilize standard valuation tools and market data to provide accurate and competitive buy-back quotes.
• Verify vehicle documentation, including RC status, insurance validity, service history, and service records.
• Prepare detailed condition reports and upload high-quality images and inspection data into the internal CRM system.
• Coordinate with the sales team to facilitate the procurement of high-quality inventory.
• Identify potential mechanical or structural issues that may impact the vehicle's valuation.
• Ensure all inspections are completed within the designated turnaround time to maintain inventory flow.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of automobile engines, chassis, and bodywork components.
• Proficiency in using digital valuation tools and internal DMS software.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends and vehicle depreciation.
• Excellent eye for detail to detect accidental history or hidden mechanical defects.
• Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail or dealership environment.

Preferred

• Prior experience working with a multi-brand pre-owned car dealership.
• Certification in vehicle appraisal or inspection from a recognized automotive body.
• Strong negotiation skills to manage customer expectations during the valuation process.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or ITI in Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV).

Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in vehicle inspection, workshop service, or pre-owned car procurement.

Certifications: Valid Driver's License, Basic computer literacy certificate

Work Environment

This is an on-site role based in a dealership or stockyard environment. The role requires regular travel to customer locations for home inspections and involves working 6 days a week with standard showroom timings.
