This role is responsible for restoring vehicle aesthetics by performing high-quality paint application and surface refinishing. You will ensure that all paint jobs meet OEM standards for color matching, finish quality, and durability within a fast-paced workshop environment.
Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Perform precise color matching using computerized mixing systems and physical shade cards.
Operate spray painting equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean, dust-free paint booth environment.
Execute full-body painting, spot repairs, and clear-coat applications according to manufacturer specifications.
Inspect vehicles post-painting to identify and rectify imperfections such as runs, sags, or orange peel effects.
Maintain workshop tools and equipment, ensuring spray guns and mixing machines are cleaned and calibrated daily.
Adhere to strict safety protocols regarding chemical handling, hazardous waste disposal, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
ITI or Diploma in Automobile Painting or related trade field.
1-3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized car dealership or reputed multi-brand body shop.
Proficiency in using automotive paint spray guns and drying equipment.
In-depth knowledge of various paint systems (solvent and water-based) and clear coats.
Ability to stand for long periods and work in a workshop environment with chemical exposure.
Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
Certification from recognized automotive vocational training institutes.
Experience with high-end premium car brands or luxury vehicle paint systems.
Familiarity with paint booth maintenance and ventilation standards.
Surface preparation and body filler application, Color matching and paint mixing, Spray gun techniques, Paint defect diagnostics, DMS usage for job card updates

Education: ITI or Diploma in Automobile Painting/Body Shop Technology.
Experience: 1-3 years in an automotive workshop setting.
Certifications: ITI Trade Certificate, Safety training in chemical handling (preferred)
Full-time, on-site at the workshop. 6 days a week, shift timings are typically 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The role involves working with automotive chemicals and requires strict adherence to safety gear protocols.
