This role involves managing daily financial transactions and ensuring rigorous tax compliance within a high-volume automotive dealership. The focus is on maintaining accurate ledgers and supporting the finance department in operational efficiency and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily sales invoicing, service billing, and inventory accounting in Tally and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Perform periodic bank reconciliations and verify cash-in-hand against daily collection reports.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including timely follow-ups with corporate clients and vendors.
- Prepare and assist in the filing of monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B) and ensure timely TDS payments.
- Reconcile manufacturer incentive claims, insurance payouts, and RTO disbursement accounts.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and assist in monthly and year-end audit closures.
- Monitor and process employee payroll and reimbursement claims in compliance with company policy.
- Coordinate with bank representatives regarding loan subventions and payout documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the automotive or retail sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws, specifically GST and TDS regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, ledger maintenance, and financial statements.
- Ability to handle high-volume transaction processing with high accuracy.
- Knowledge of bank reconciliation and petty cash management.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with automotive Dealer Management Systems (DMS) like SAP, Autoline, or Rev8.
- Exposure to RTO and insurance accounting processes.
- Experience in handling internal or statutory audits.

Work Environment
Standard on-site dealership office environment; 6-day work week; 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM shift timing.
