This role involves managing the daily financial operations and statutory compliance for a leading automotive dealership. The focus is on ensuring accurate ledger maintenance, timely tax filings, and providing reliable financial data to support strategic business decisions through meticulous documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily accounting entries including sales, purchases, and expenses into Tally Prime and the dealership's ERP system.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Manage statutory compliance including monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B), TDS deductions, and timely deposit of government dues.
- Oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely follow-ups with customers and corporate clients for outstanding payments.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss accounts and Balance Sheets, for review by the Finance Manager.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and manage monthly depreciation schedules in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors to ensure smooth year-end closing and compliance with OEM audit requirements.
- Process employee payroll, reimbursements, and petty cash management with high accuracy.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of proven experience in core accounting roles within India.
- Expert-level working knowledge of Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
- Comprehensive understanding of GST, TDS, and other Indian taxation laws.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized university.
- Proven experience in ledger scrutiny and complex bank reconciliation processes.
- Ability to work on-site at the dealership location.
Preferred
- Previous experience working within an authorized automobile dealership (4-wheeler or 2-wheeler).
- Hands-on experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) like Autoline or Blue-sky.
- CA Inter or M.Com qualification.
