Accountant

Manage the financial health of our automotive dealership by ensuring accurate bookkeeping and regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in maintaining transparency across all transactions, from vehicle sales to workshop service billing and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliances as per Indian tax laws.
• Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements, cash books, and vehicle inventory records.
• Coordinate with the sales and service departments to track revenue, discounts, and customer payment settlements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
• Manage petty cash, staff payroll processing, and internal audit preparations.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure smooth financial reporting and compliance.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9/Prime and MS Office, specifically Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of GST regulations, TDS, and Income Tax filing.
• Experience in managing accounts for a retail or automotive dealership.
• Strong understanding of inventory valuation and stock reconciliation.
• Ability to handle high-volume transactional data with minimal errors.

Preferred

• Prior experience working with DMS (Dealer Management Systems) like Autoline or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with fixed asset management and depreciation accounting.
• Knowledge of local state tax norms and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Education: B.Com / M.Com or CA Inter

Experience: 5-8 years in accounting, preferably in the automotive or retail sector.

Work Environment

On-site, full-time role based in a professional office environment within the dealership, operating 6 days a week.
