Account Head

This leadership role oversees all financial operations, ensuring fiscal health and compliance within our established automotive dealership network. You will drive financial strategy, maintain rigorous internal controls, and lead the accounting team to support our market-leading position.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end financial operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and GST regulations.
• Develop and monitor departmental budgets, providing detailed variance analysis to executive leadership.
• Ensure 100% compliance with statutory requirements including GST filing, TDS, Income Tax, and ROC filings.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, bankers, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless operations.
• Implement and optimize internal financial controls to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support dealership profitability and long-term business growth.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing end-to-end accounts in the automotive or retail industry.
• Expertise in GST, TDS, and corporate tax laws applicable in India.
• Proven track record of managing a team and handling multi-location accounts.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9/Prime and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Deep understanding of dealership management systems (DMS) and financial reporting modules.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex financial data.

Preferred

• Prior experience working with an authorized OEM dealership network.
• Exposure to SAP or other Tier-1 ERP systems.
• Experience in handling high-volume inventory accounting and floor-plan financing.

Qualifications

Education: B.Com/M.Com or MBA (Finance); CA/ICWA (Inter or Final preferred).

Experience: 8-12 years of core accounting experience, preferably in the Indian automotive dealership sector.

Certifications: Tally Certification, Professional certification in GST or Taxation (preferred)
