WORKSHOP MANAGER

This role involves overseeing the daily operations of a high-volume automotive service facility to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability. It focuses on leading a team of technicians and advisors to deliver exceptional vehicle service quality while maintaining rigorous safety and OEM compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end workshop floor operations, ensuring high technician productivity and optimal bay utilization.

• Monitor and minimize vehicle Turnaround Time (TAT) to improve customer satisfaction and workshop throughput.

• Supervise quality control processes to ensure 'Right First Time' (RFT) repairs and minimize repeat complaints.

• Lead, mentor, and train a team of service advisors and technicians to achieve service excellence and technical growth.

• Oversee the procurement and maintenance of workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and inventory levels.

• Collaborate with the Service Manager to meet monthly revenue targets through labor sales and value-added services.

• Ensure strict adherence to OEM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workplace health and safety regulations.

• Resolve complex technical issues and customer grievances to maintain a high Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in automotive workshop management or as a senior service advisor.

• Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in modern vehicles.

• Proven track record of managing a team of technicians and support staff in a dealership environment.

• Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication skills in English and the local regional language.

• Valid four-wheeler driving license and clean driving record.

Preferred

• Previous experience with a leading OEM brand authorized service center.

• Specific certification in Workshop Management or advanced automotive diagnostics.

• Experience in handling insurance claims and coordination with insurance surveyors.

Qualifications

Certifications: OEM-specific technical certifications, Workshop Manager Certification from a recognized body
