Job Description: Workshop Manager
Location: Geeta Bhawan, Indore

Role Objective
The Workshop Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire service department operations at the Geeta Bhawan facility. This role focuses on maximizing productivity, ensuring high-quality vehicle repairs, and maintaining MSIL (Maruti Suzuki India Limited) standards for customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
1. Key Responsibilities1. Operational Excellence & MSIL Compliance
Manage day-to-day workshop operations to ensure smooth workflow from vehicle intake to final delivery.
Ensure strict adherence to MSIL service standards and quality control protocols.
Monitor and maintain workshop equipment, tools, and inventory levels.
2. Performance & Financial Management
Drive workshop revenue by optimizing labor productivity and parts sales.
Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index), productivity, and bay utilization.
Review and verify incentive disbursements for service technicians and support staff.
3. Team Leadership & Development
Supervise a team of Service Advisors, Floor Supervisors, and Technicians.
Coordinate with the Group Technical Development Manager (TDM) to identify training gaps and schedule technical workshops.
Conduct regular performance reviews and manage conflict resolution within the team.
Ensure a safe and clean working environment
4. Customer Relationship Management
Resolve high-level customer grievances and technical escalations promptly.
Ensure high scores in MSIL service audits and customer feedback surveys.
Collaborate with the CRM team to improve service reminder follow-ups and repeat-repair ratios.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Diploma in Automobile Engineering.
Experience: 8–12 years of experience in automotive service, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a Maruti Suzuki dealership (Arena/Nexa).
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Maruti Suzuki vehicle systems, diagnostic tools, and the DMS (Dealer Management System).
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and excellent communication skills in Hindi and English.
