This leadership role focuses on driving vehicle sales volumes and market share for the dealership while ensuring premium customer experiences. The position involves managing the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation and inventory management to final delivery and OEM compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Sales Consultants and Team Leaders to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual retail and wholesale targets.
- Monitor the end-to-end sales process including lead management in the DMS/CRM, test drive execution, and timely vehicle delivery.
- Liaise with OEM regional offices to ensure optimal stock allocation, participate in product training, and implement brand standards.
- Analyze showroom footfall and inquiry trends to design and execute local area marketing (LAM) activities and corporate tie-ups.
- Oversee the F&I (Finance & Insurance) penetration to ensure maximum value-added services are sold with every vehicle.
- Conduct daily performance huddles and weekly reviews to identify bottlenecks in the sales funnel and provide real-time coaching.
- Manage the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) by resolving customer grievances and ensuring high-quality interactions.
- Control departmental expenses and manage the sales P&L to ensure profitability of the dealership branch.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in automotive sales with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of dealership operations, inventory management, and automotive CRM/DMS software.
- Strong understanding of vehicle financing, insurance processes, and RTO documentation in India.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales targets in a competitive market.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and the local regional language.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and willingness to work a 6-day week including weekends.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with a reputed Indian or Global OEM (Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Mahindra, etc.).
- Existing relationships with local banks and NBFCs for streamlined vehicle financing.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for sales reporting and data analysis.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role at the dealership showroom. The environment is fast-paced and target-driven, requiring a 6-day work week with standard dealership operating hours (typically 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM).
Growth Opportunities
Successful candidates can progress to General Manager (Sales) or Branch Head positions within the dealership group, or move into corporate roles within the OEM network.
