This role focuses on driving showroom sales performance by mentoring a team of Sales Consultants to meet and exceed monthly retail targets. It involves overseeing the complete sales funnel, from lead generation and test drives to final vehicle delivery and documentation compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of 5-8 Sales Consultants to achieve monthly individual and team retail targets.
- Monitor the Dealer Management System (DMS) daily to ensure timely lead follow-ups and update accuracy.
- Conduct daily morning huddles to review the sales pipeline, test drive schedules, and hot prospects.
- Assist team members in closing complex negotiations and handling high-value corporate or individual clients.
- Ensure 100% adherence to OEM standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding test drives and customer interactions.
- Coordinate with the stockyard, finance, and insurance departments to ensure seamless vehicle invoicing and delivery.
- Analyze lost-case reports and competitor activity to suggest tactical improvements to the Sales Manager.
- Maintain high standards of showroom floor discipline and customer hospitality.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales within a reputed dealership or OEM.
- In-depth knowledge of the Indian automotive market and local customer preferences.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing a sales pipeline.
- Excellent communication skills in the local language and English.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and proficiency in conducting test drives.
- Working knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM tools.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Senior Sales Consultant or acting Team Leader.
- Deep understanding of retail finance, IRDA insurance processes, and exchange evaluations.
- Ability to train team members on product features and competitive advantages.
