This role involves managing the lifecycle of automotive components within the dealership, from receiving manufacturer shipments to issuing parts for vehicle repairs. It focuses on maintaining an organized inventory system to ensure the workshop operates efficiently and without delays.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming spare parts and accessories from the OEM and verify them against invoices and delivery notes.
- Organize and bin parts in the warehouse according to part categories and the FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principle.
- Issue required parts, lubricants, and consumables to technicians based on authorized job cards.
- Update stock levels and part transactions accurately in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Assist the Parts Manager in conducting weekly and monthly physical stock audits and reconciliation.
- Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete stock to the management for necessary action.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety standards of the parts warehouse following 5S protocols.
- Handle the processing of warranty parts returns and core exchanges as per OEM guidelines.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of automotive spare parts and their nomenclature.
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting and moving part boxes.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations, specifically MS Excel.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail for part number matching.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment with strict deadlines.
Preferred
- Familiarity with any Dealer Management System (DMS) like SAP or Autoline.
- Knowledge of local language to communicate effectively with the workshop team.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory-related role.
