This role focuses on maintaining the electrical integrity of passenger and commercial vehicles by diagnosing complex wiring issues and ensuring all electronic components function at peak performance. It involves working closely with the service team to deliver high-quality repairs that meet stringent safety and manufacturer standards.
Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems including wiring harnesses, lighting, and electronic control units.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on batteries, alternators, and starter motors.
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and OBD-II scanners to identify and clear error codes.
Interpret electrical circuit diagrams and technical manuals for precise fault isolation.
Install and test electrical accessories such as infotainment systems, reverse cameras, and sensors.
Ensure all repairs comply with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards and safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while documenting all repair activities in the workshop management system.
Proven experience of 1-3 years as an automotive electrician in an authorized dealership or reputed workshop.
Strong understanding of automotive electrical circuits and electronic components.
Hands-on experience with multimeters, scan tools, and other diagnostic equipment.
Ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams and technical blueprints.
Possession of a valid four-wheeler driving license for testing and moving vehicles.
Previous experience working with major Indian OEM brands like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, or Tata Motors.
Basic knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage systems and safety procedures.
Familiarity with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) for logging work orders.

Education: ITI in Electrician or Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV) trade; Diploma in Electrical or Automobile Engineering is a plus.
Experience: 1-3 years in an automotive workshop environment.
Certifications: OEM Technical Certification, Basic EV Safety Certification (optional)
This is an on-site role based in a high-volume authorized service center. Standard working hours are 6 days a week, typically from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, requiring physical stamina for workshop-floor operations.
Successful candidates can progress to Senior Technician or Master Technician roles. There are also opportunities to transition into supervisory positions like Floor Coordinator or Workshop Manager through consistent performance and OEM-led training programs.
