This leadership role focuses on driving vehicle sales volumes and market share for the dealership while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. It involves managing a diverse team of sales consultants, coordinating with the OEM, and optimizing the sales funnel from lead generation to vehicle delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Sales Consultants and Team Leaders to achieve monthly and annual retail targets.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, including lead tracking and pipeline management in the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Maintain strong relationships with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ensure strict compliance with brand standards and audit requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the logistics team for timely vehicle procurement and stock rotation.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to develop effective sales strategies and local promotional campaigns.
- Oversee the Finance and Insurance (F&I) penetration to maximize dealership profitability per unit sold.
- Ensure high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) scores through quality delivery processes.
- Conduct daily morning huddles and weekly performance reviews to track KPIs and address operational bottlenecks.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive dealership environment.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM software for lead tracking.
- Deep understanding of retail finance, motor insurance, and RTO processes in the Indian context.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of 10-20 members.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and the local regional language.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with major passenger vehicle or commercial vehicle OEMs.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and a clean driving record.
- Existing network within local corporate and SME sectors for bulk sales.
