The role focuses on optimizing inventory levels and ensuring the seamless availability of genuine components to support the service department and retail sales. It involves managing the end-to-end supply chain within the dealership, from procurement and warehousing to distribution and stock reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain optimum inventory levels using Just-In-Time (JIT) principles to minimize dead stock and maximize parts fill rates.
- Place regular and emergency orders with the OEM through the Dealer Management System (DMS) based on demand forecasting.
- Supervise the receipt, inspection, and binning of incoming parts to ensure accuracy and quality control.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly physical stock audits to maintain high inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
- Manage the parts counter for retail customers and ensure timely issuance of parts to the workshop floor to reduce vehicle downtime.
- Monitor and drive the sales of value-added accessories and lubricants to meet monthly revenue targets.
- Lead and train a team of warehouse staff on safety protocols and efficient inventory management techniques.
- Analyze slow-moving and non-moving inventory to implement liquidation strategies and reduce obsolescence costs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive parts management or warehouse operations within an authorized dealership.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and inventory software.
- Strong understanding of automotive components and technical specifications.
- Excellent numerical skills for inventory calculation and financial reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations during peak hours.
- Basic knowledge of GST and invoicing procedures within the automotive sector.
Preferred
- Experience working specifically with authorized OEM brands (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors).
- Certification in Supply Chain Management or Inventory Control.
- Knowledge of local language for effective communication with warehouse staff.

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring 6 days of work per week, typically from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, based within the dealership's warehouse and parts counter.
