This role focuses on steering a group of sales professionals towards exceeding monthly revenue and unit targets while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. It acts as a bridge between frontline sales activities and strategic dealership goals, ensuring rigorous lead management and process compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of 8-10 Sales Consultants to ensure monthly retail, booking, and enquiry targets are consistently met.
- Monitor and audit the Lead Management System (LMS) to ensure 100% data integrity and timely follow-ups by all team members.
- Conduct daily morning huddles to review the previous day's performance and plan test drives and home visits for the day.
- Facilitate the closing of high-value deals and handle escalated customer grievances to maintain dealership reputation.
- Ensure strict adherence to the OEM's standardized sales process, including digital documentation and CRM updating.
- Manage the team's test drive vehicle allocation and ensure all safety protocols are followed during customer demonstrations.
- Collaborate with Finance and Insurance (F&I) and Exchange departments to provide a seamless one-stop solution to customers.
- Analyze weekly sales reports to identify performance gaps and implement corrective training for team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive retail sales with a proven track record.
- Strong command over the local language and English for effective customer and OEM communication.
- Valid Indian four-wheeler driving license with a clean driving record.
- Hands-on experience in managing team targets and conducting performance appraisals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- In-depth knowledge of automotive products, features, and competitor comparisons.
Preferred
- Experience working with a Tier-1 or Tier-2 automotive OEM dealership.
- MBA in Sales & Marketing from a recognized university.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior sales staff on negotiation techniques.
