Floor Incharge

Responsible for supervising daily workshop operations to ensure maximum technician productivity and high-quality vehicle servicing. This role focuses on optimizing workflow, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring that all vehicles are ready for delivery within the promised timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily workflow of technicians and helpers on the workshop floor to ensure optimal bay utilization.

• Monitor vehicle repair progress in real-time and coordinate with Service Advisors to meet delivery deadlines.

• Conduct thorough final quality inspections on serviced vehicles to minimize repeat jobs and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Manage workshop tools, equipment maintenance, and ensure the availability of necessary consumables.

• Liaise with the Spare Parts department to ensure timely procurement of parts for ongoing repairs.

• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians for complex mechanical or electrical issues.

• Enforce strict adherence to OEM service standards, safety protocols, and 5S workplace organization practices.

• Assist the Workshop Manager in preparing daily productivity reports and technician performance tracking.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive dealership workshop.

• In-depth knowledge of automobile mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

• Proven experience in supervising a team of technicians and support staff.

• Proficiency in using Diagnostic Tools and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).

• Strong understanding of workshop safety regulations and quality control processes.

• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strict turnaround times.

Preferred

• OEM certification from a leading passenger or commercial vehicle brand.

• Prior experience in a high-volume service center environment.

• Basic knowledge of Electric Vehicle (EV) service and high-voltage safety.
