This role involves performing complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs on passenger vehicles within an authorized dealership environment. The successful candidate will ensure all service activities meet the manufacturer's quality standards while maintaining a high level of workshop efficiency and safety.
Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using OEM-specific scanning tools to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
Execute major and minor repairs including engine overhauling, transmission work, suspension tuning, and brake system servicing.
Conduct periodic maintenance services as per the manufacturer's scheduled guidelines and checklist.
Maintain precise documentation of all repair work performed and parts used within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
Collaborate with the Service Advisor to provide accurate estimates for additional repairs discovered during inspection.
Ensure the workspace remains clean and adheres to all safety protocols and 5S workplace organization standards.
Perform road tests to verify repair quality and ensure the vehicle meets safety standards before delivery to the customer.
Mentor junior technicians and apprentices on complex repair techniques and workshop best practices.
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an authorized OEM workshop (Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, etc.).
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools like Tech-2, GDS, or brand-specific scanners.
In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, fuel systems, and electrical circuits.
Valid four-wheeler driving license for conducting vehicle road tests.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily labor-hour targets.
Basic computer literacy for updating job cards and service records.
OEM-specific certification (Level 2 or Level 3 technician status).
Experience working with Electric Vehicles (EV) and high-voltage safety training.
Knowledge of wheel alignment and balancing machinery.
Familiarity with air conditioning system recovery and recharging.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in a high-volume workshop. The work involves physical labor, exposure to oils/chemicals, and a standard 6-day work week (9 AM - 6 PM).
Technicians have a clear path to Senior Technician, Master Technician, or Workshop Floor Supervisor roles based on performance and OEM certification levels.
