Oversee the complete financial health of the dealership by managing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring strict adherence to statutory tax regulations. This role involves strategic financial reporting and maintaining seamless financial coordination with the vehicle manufacturer (OEM).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire accounting lifecycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure 100% compliance with GST filings (GSTR-1, 3B, 9/9C), TDS payments, and other statutory tax requirements.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations with the OEM for vehicle inventory, spare parts, and incentive claims.
- Prepare and present monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets to the dealership management.
- Oversee the dealership's cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships, including CC/OD limit management.
- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of audits with zero discrepancies.
- Supervise the accounts team and manage payroll processing including PF, ESI, and Professional Tax compliance.
- Monitor workshop billing and inventory valuation to prevent leakages and ensure operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in automotive dealership accounting or retail finance operations.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws including GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
- Expertise in Tally Prime/ERP 9 and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
- Proven experience in handling OEM reconciliation and incentive management.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and workshop financial controls.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, Pinewood, or OEM-specific software.
- Previous experience working with major Indian automotive brands (Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, etc.).
- Ability to handle multiple dealership branches or outlets simultaneously.

Education
B.Com/M.Com, MBA Finance, or CA Inter
Experience
8 to 12 years in accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within an automotive dealership environment
Certifications
Certified Tally Professional, GST Practitioner Certification
