Manage day-to-day financial operations and statutory compliance for an authorized automotive dealership, ensuring precise record-keeping and financial transparency. This position is central to maintaining the financial health of both the showroom and the service center through rigorous auditing and reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily books of accounts including purchase, sales, and expense entries using Tally Prime and the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Prepare and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B) and ensure timely payment of TDS and TCS liabilities.
- Perform periodic bank reconciliations and reconcile OEM incentive payouts against dealership claims to ensure no revenue leakage.
- Manage accounts payable for spare parts and vehicle inventory, and track accounts receivable from corporate clients and insurance companies.
- Process monthly payroll for dealership staff, ensuring accurate deductions for PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax.
- Prepare monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports including P&L statements and cash flow analysis for senior management.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors for year-end closing and ensure all dealership operations comply with Indian Accounting Standards.
- Oversee petty cash management and verify workshop job cards for billing accuracy.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of core accounting experience, specifically within an Indian automotive dealership or retail environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Tally Prime/ERP 9 and Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot tables).
- Thorough understanding of GST, TDS, and TCS regulations and filing procedures.
- Experience in handling Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or OEM-specific software.
- Proven ability to manage bank reconciliations and inventory accounting independently.
- Ability to work a standard 6-day work week in an on-site dealership setting.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with authorized OEM dealerships (Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, etc.).
- Familiarity with RTO documentation and insurance payout processes.
- Knowledge of OEM portal operations for vehicle procurement and incentive tracking.
