This role involves facilitating the end-to-end vehicle purchase journey for customers by providing expert product demonstrations and personalized recommendations. It focuses on managing the sales funnel from initial inquiry to final vehicle delivery while ensuring strict adherence to OEM standards and dealership protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with walk-in customers and digital leads to understand automotive needs and preferences.
- Conduct professional test drives while highlighting safety features, performance, and technology.
- Manage the sales funnel using CRM software, ensuring timely follow-ups and lead nurturing.
- Coordinate with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department to facilitate loan approvals and policy issuance.
- Prepare all necessary documentation for vehicle registration and invoicing as per RTO guidelines.
- Oversee the vehicle delivery process to ensure a premium 'key handover' experience for the customer.
- Achieve monthly sales targets for vehicles, genuine accessories, and value-added services.
- Generate referrals through proactive networking and maintaining post-delivery relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized Indian university.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and proficiency in driving manual and automatic vehicles.
- Excellent communication skills in the local language and English.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Willingness to work a 6-day week including weekends.
Preferred
- Prior experience in an authorized OEM dealership (Passenger or Commercial Vehicles).
- Familiarity with automotive financing options and IRDA insurance products.
- Deep knowledge of competitor models and current Indian market trends.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site role based at the dealership showroom. It involves a standard 6-day work week with rotational offs, requiring a mix of showroom floor management and field visits for home test drives.
Growth Opportunities
Successful consultants can progress to Senior Sales Consultant or Team Leader roles within 24 months, with further paths toward Sales Manager or Branch Manager positions within the dealer network.
