Sales Consultant

This role involves guiding customers through the entire vehicle acquisition process, ensuring a premium showroom experience while achieving monthly retail targets. It focuses on building long-term relationships through expert product consultation and seamless coordination of test drives and vehicle deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive lead generation through showroom walk-ins, tele-calling, and digital inquiry management.
• Perform detailed product demonstrations and facilitate professional test drives as per OEM standards.
• Manage the complete sales pipeline and customer interactions through the Dealer Management System (DMS).
• Assist customers with financial documentation, insurance options, and exchange evaluations to provide a one-stop solution.
• Coordinate with the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) team and stockyard to ensure error-free and timely vehicle delivery.
• Maintain consistent post-delivery follow-ups to drive customer satisfaction and generate high-quality referrals.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales volume and value-added services (VAS) targets consistently.

Requirements

• Any Graduate degree from a recognized university.
• Valid permanent four-wheeler driving license (mandatory for test drives).
• Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in the automotive or high-value consumer goods sector.
• Fluency in the local regional language and professional proficiency in English.
• Willingness to work 6 days a week, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong understanding of the local automotive market and competitor landscape.

Preferred

• Prior experience working in an authorized OEM dealership.
• Familiarity with CRM software or automotive DMS platforms like Autoline or SAP.
• Knowledge of vehicle insurance (IRDA) and retail finance processes.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate in any discipline (B.Com, BBA, B.A., or B.Sc preferred)

Certifications: Valid Indian Driving License (LMV), OEM Sales Certification (Preferred)

Work Environment

Modern, high-traffic automotive showroom with a professional dress code. Requires active movement on the showroom floor and conducting outdoor test drives.

Growth Opportunities

High-performing consultants are eligible for promotion to Senior Sales Consultant or Team Leader roles within 24-36 months. Opportunities for cross-functional movement into Corporate Sales or Service Advisor roles are also available.
