Technician

This role involves performing routine vehicle maintenance and basic repairs under the guidance of senior technical staff to ensure peak performance of customer vehicles. It provides a foundational platform for aspiring mechanics to master diagnostic tools and manufacturer-specific service protocols in a high-volume workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform periodic maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups.
• Assist senior technicians in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using OEM-specific diagnostic scanners.
• Execute basic repairs on braking systems, suspension components, and exhaust systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized bay area while ensuring all workshop tools are accounted for and in good working condition.
• Document all work performed on the job card accurately to facilitate clear communication with service advisors.
• Participate in OEM-led technical training sessions to stay updated on the latest vehicle technologies and repair methods.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of internal combustion engines and automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Physical stamina to work in a demanding workshop environment for extended hours.
• A valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
• Willingness to work in a 6-day week schedule including Saturdays.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to high-voltage safety protocols if handling EVs.

Preferred

• Prior internship experience at an authorized OEM service center.
• Basic computer literacy for updating digital service records in the DMS.
• Familiarity with pneumatic tools and precision measuring instruments like torque wrenches.

Qualifications

Education: ITI (Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic) or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 0-1 years of experience in an automotive workshop or service center

Certifications: ASDC (Automotive Skills Development Council) certification preferred, OEM-specific foundational training is a plus

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role based in a fast-paced authorized workshop, typically operating 6 days a week from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with standard safety gear provided.

Growth Opportunities

Successful candidates can progress to Senior Technician or Master Technician roles, or transition into Service Advisor and Workshop Floor Supervisor positions based on performance and OEM certification levels.
