This role involves engaging with prospective customers to understand their automotive needs and guiding them through the vehicle purchasing process. It focuses on delivering high-quality product demonstrations and ensuring a seamless transition from lead inquiry to final delivery while maintaining excellence in customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage walk-in customers and digital leads through the entire sales funnel from inquiry to vehicle delivery.
- Conduct professional vehicle demonstrations and accompany customers on test drives to highlight key features and safety aspects.
- Proactively generate new leads through local marketing activities, corporate visits, and customer referrals.
- Coordinate with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department to provide customers with loan options and insurance quotes.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and follow-ups in the Dealer Management System (DMS) and CRM software.
- Ensure the showroom floor is professional, and display vehicles are in pristine condition at all times.
- Achieve monthly sales targets for vehicles, accessories, and value-added services as defined by the Sales Manager.
- Facilitate the documentation process for vehicle registration and ensure timely delivery ceremonies for customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or a professional Diploma.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license is mandatory for conducting test drives.
- Proven experience of 1-3 years in retail sales, preferably within the automotive or BFSI sectors.
- Fluency in the local language and a working knowledge of English.
- Strong negotiation and persuasive communication skills.
- Willingness to work 6 days a week and on weekends as per showroom requirements.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with an authorized OEM dealership.
- Certification in automotive sales or customer relationship management.
- Familiarity with digital lead management tools and social media marketing.
- In-depth knowledge of current Indian automotive market trends and competitor models.
