Focuses on the meticulous management of all dealership financial transactions, ensuring that every payment received from vehicle sales and service is accurately recorded and reconciled. This position serves as a critical touchpoint for financial integrity, requiring a blend of numerical precision and professional customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all daily collections including cash, cheques, credit/debit cards, and digital payments for vehicle sales and service departments.
- Generate and issue official tax invoices and receipts through the Dealer Management System (DMS) ensuring strict GST compliance.
- Perform daily cash reconciliation and prepare the Daily Collection Report (DCR) for submission to the Accounts Manager.
- Manage the petty cash fund for operational expenses, ensuring all vouchers are authorized, documented, and replenished timely.
- Coordinate daily bank visits for the safe deposit of cash and cheques, maintaining accurate records of bank deposit slips.
- Maintain a systematic filing system for all financial documents, payment vouchers, and bank statements for audit readiness.
- Address and resolve customer queries regarding billing, payment modes, or refund processes with professionalism.
- Assist the accounts team during month-end closing and internal/OEM audits by providing necessary transaction documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cash handling or accounting, preferably within an automotive dealership.
- Proven proficiency in using Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime for financial entries.
- Hands-on experience with digital payment gateways and POS terminal operations.
- Sound knowledge of GST calculations and invoicing requirements in the automotive sector.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail to prevent transaction errors.
- Willingness to work 6 days a week in a fast-paced retail environment.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with OEM-specific Dealer Management Systems like MSIL-DMS, ADP, or Autoline.
- Basic understanding of bank reconciliation and financial ledger maintenance.
- Local language proficiency for effective customer communication.
