This role focuses on driving customer retention by managing the end-to-end motor insurance renewal lifecycle for a diverse portfolio of vehicle owners. It involves proactive outreach, policy comparison, and expert consultation to ensure clients maintain optimal coverage while meeting dealership revenue objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and manage a database of upcoming policy expirations, initiating contact with customers 45 days prior to renewal.
- Explain complex insurance terms, add-on covers like Zero Depreciation or Return to Invoice, and No Claim Bonus (NCB) benefits to customers.
- Generate competitive premium quotes by coordinating with multiple empanelled insurance partners and OEM-tie-up providers.
- Facilitate seamless digital policy issuance and premium collection through the Dealer Management System (DMS) and insurance portals.
- Handle customer objections regarding premium hikes and provide comparative analysis to ensure high retention rates.
- Maintain strict adherence to IRDAI guidelines and internal compliance protocols during the documentation and sales process.
- Collaborate with the service and claims departments to resolve any pending customer issues that might hinder the renewal process.
- Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports on renewal percentage, lost cases, and lead conversion for the F&I Manager.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience specifically in motor insurance renewals within an automotive dealership or insurance brokerage.
- Valid IRDAI certification for General Insurance (POSP or Composite).
- In-depth understanding of Motor Tariff, IDV calculations, and GST applications in insurance.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding renewal percentage targets.
- Proficiency in operating Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, Revv, or SAP.
- Strong communication skills in the local language and functional English for customer interaction.

- Experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Prior exposure to handling high-volume renewals in a multi-brand environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.

Work Environment
Professional dealership office environment; 6-day work week (Monday to Saturday); standard shift timings from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
