This role is responsible for performing high-quality vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and complex repairs to ensure peak vehicle performance and safety. It involves utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and following OEM-standard operating procedures to maintain the highest levels of workshop efficiency and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using computerized scanning tools and manual inspection techniques.
- Execute mechanical and electrical repairs including engine overhauls, transmission work, and suspension tuning.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid replacements according to OEM schedules.
- Accurately document all repair actions, parts consumed, and labor hours within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Identify additional repair requirements or safety concerns and report them clearly to the Service Advisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work bay while adhering to all workshop safety and environmental regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and participate in periodic OEM technical training sessions.
- Test drive vehicles post-repair to ensure all reported issues have been successfully resolved.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive workshop (OEM).
- In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using multi-brand diagnostic scanners and specialized workshop equipment.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license for vehicle testing purposes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Willingness to work in a high-pressure environment with a 6-day work week.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.
- Basic understanding of Electric Vehicle (EV) components and high-voltage safety protocols.
- Knowledge of local language for better coordination with the floor team.

Qualifications
Education: ITI (Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic) or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

Certifications: OEM Technical Certification (Level 1 or 2), Valid LMV Driving License
Work Environment
On-site at an authorized workshop; 6-day work week; standard shift timings (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM); involves physical labor and use of protective gear.
