This role involves executing high-precision mechanical and electrical repairs on the complete range of Bajaj motorcycles, including high-performance Pulsar and Dominar models. The position focuses on ensuring vehicle reliability and peak performance while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship in a high-volume workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform major engine overhauling, gearbox repairs, and complex mechanical assemblies for Bajaj motorcycles.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools, multimeters, and OEM-specific scanners.
- Execute periodic maintenance services (PMS) according to Bajaj service manuals and BS6 compliance standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) issues through systematic testing and test rides.
- Mentor junior technicians and apprentices, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare accurate part requisition lists and maintain detailed records in the Dealership Management System (DMS).
- Ensure all workshop tools and equipment are calibrated and maintained as per safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized bay while meeting strict vehicle turnaround time (TAT) targets.
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience specifically in two-wheeler servicing and repairs.
- In-depth knowledge of Bajaj DTS-i technology and modern fuel injection (FI) systems.
- Proven ability to handle complex engine work and transmission systems independently.
- Valid two-wheeler driving license for conducting post-repair test rides.
- Familiarity with workshop safety standards and computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work a 6-day week in a physically demanding environment.
Preferred
- Previous experience working at an authorized Bajaj Service Center.
- Specialized training in KTM or Husqvarna motorcycle servicing.
- Basic computer literacy for updating digital job cards.
