This role is responsible for executing high-quality vehicle maintenance and mechanical repairs while strictly adhering to OEM standards and safety protocols. It focuses on diagnosing technical issues accurately and ensuring that every vehicle serviced meets the highest levels of performance and safety for the customer.
Perform routine vehicle servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and preventive maintenance as per OEM checklists.
Carry out repairs on critical systems including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and suspensions.
Document all work performed, parts replaced, and time taken accurately within the Dealer Management System (DMS).
Maintain workshop tools and equipment in excellent condition, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Conduct road tests to verify the quality of repairs and ensure the resolution of customer complaints.
Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure the timely availability of required components for ongoing jobs.
1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in an authorized automotive workshop or service center.
Sound knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmissions, and automotive electrical systems.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments and specialized workshop machinery.
Familiarity with digital diagnostic equipment and software used in modern vehicles.
Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced workshop environment for extended hours.
A valid four-wheeler driving license.
Prior experience working with a major OEM brand (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, or Mahindra).
Basic understanding of Electric Vehicle (EV) components and high-voltage safety awareness.
Knowledge of multi-brand vehicle repair and diagnostics.

Education: ITI (Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic) or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering

Certifications: OEM Technical Certification (Level 1 or 2), Industrial Safety Training Certification
Standard on-site workshop environment; 6 days a week; 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM shift; requires wearing standard PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Potential to progress to Senior Technician, Master Technician, or Workshop Floor Supervisor roles through OEM-sponsored training programs and internal performance assessments.
