This role involves overseeing the end-to-end employee lifecycle while ensuring seamless HR operations across the dealership or corporate office. The focus remains on implementing strategic people initiatives that align with organizational goals and fostering a high-performance culture in a dynamic retail environment. It requires a balance between administrative excellence and proactive talent management to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing end-to-end recruitment for sales, service, and administrative roles to meet monthly headcount targets across departments.
- Overseeing monthly payroll processing, including attendance tracking, incentive calculations, and statutory deductions like PF and ESI.
- Ensuring 100% compliance with Indian Labor Laws, Shop & Establishment Act, and OEM-specific HR audit requirements.
- Driving the performance management system (PMS) by facilitating KRA setting and conducting annual and half-yearly appraisals for all staff.
- Organizing technical and soft-skill training programs in coordination with OEM trainers for dealership and workshop personnel.
- Handling employee grievances and maintaining a healthy industrial relations environment within the workshop and showroom floors.
- Managing the exit process, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring timely full and final settlements.
- Maintaining and updating employee records in the HRIS and ensuring data accuracy for management reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in HR operations within an Indian automotive dealership or manufacturing setup.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian statutory compliance including PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, and Bonus Act.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, payroll software, and advanced MS Excel for reporting.
- Strong understanding of the recruitment landscape for technical (ITI/Diploma) and sales roles in the local market.
- Ability to manage a 6-day work week in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Excellent command over the local language and English for effective communication with diverse staff levels.
Preferred
- Experience handling OEM-specific HR audits and compliance checklists.
- Prior exposure to managing HR operations for multi-location dealership groups.
- Knowledge of Tally for payroll integration and basic accounting principles.

Qualifications
Education: MBA in HR or PGDM from a recognized Indian university

Standard 6-day work week on-site at the dealership/office, requiring active presence across showroom and workshop floors to engage with staff.
