This leadership role involves overseeing the entire financial ecosystem of the dealership, ensuring robust cash flow management and strict adherence to statutory regulations. The focus is on driving profitability through meticulous expense control and optimizing the finance and insurance revenue streams in alignment with OEM standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure the dealership's long-term fiscal health.
- Manage working capital, including inventory funding and coordination with banks for competitive interest rates.
- Oversee all statutory compliances including GST filing, TDS, and Income Tax assessments in line with Indian tax laws.
- Reconcile OEM accounts regularly to ensure timely settlement of incentives, warranty claims, and schemes.
- Monitor and enhance the Finance & Insurance (F&I) penetration rates by managing relationships with banking partners and insurance providers.
- Conduct internal audits and prepare the organization for external statutory audits to maintain zero-non-compliance.
- Analyze monthly P&L statements to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency across departments.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in financial management, preferably within an authorized automobile dealership.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and advanced MS Excel for complex financial reporting.
- Deep understanding of Indian accounting standards and GST regulations.
- Experience in managing team sizes of 5 or more accounts professionals.
- Proven track record of handling bank Cash Credit (CC) limits and inventory funding.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with major automotive OEMs (e.g., Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors).
- Knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as Autoline, SAP, or specialized OEM software.
- Valid IRDA certification for insurance oversight and compliance.
