This leadership role involves driving the overall sales strategy and P&L performance for the dealership branch while managing a multi-layered sales team. It requires achieving monthly retail and wholesale targets while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and OEM compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute monthly and annual sales plans to achieve retail, wholesale, and value-added services targets.
- Lead and mentor a team of Team Leaders and Sales Consultants to ensure high productivity and professional growth.
- Manage dealership P&L by monitoring margins, controlling operational costs, and optimizing inventory turnover.
- Maintain strong relationships with OEM regional offices and ensure 100% compliance with brand standards and audit requirements.
- Drive Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) scores through process improvements and grievance redressal.
- Monitor enquiry management systems and CRM data to improve lead conversion ratios and pipeline health.
- Coordinate with Finance, Insurance, and Exchange departments to ensure a seamless one-stop buying experience for customers.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to provide strategic inputs for local marketing and promotional campaigns.
Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in automotive sales with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven track record of managing high-volume automotive sales operations and meeting OEM targets.
- In-depth knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM software tools.
- Strong understanding of retail finance, motor insurance, and RTO processes in the Indian context.
- Excellent team management skills with a history of building and retaining high-performing sales teams.
- Strong analytical skills for sales forecasting, inventory planning, and performance reporting.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and willingness to travel for regional meetings.
Preferred
- Experience working with Tier-1 or Tier-2 automotive brands in India.
- Existing network within the local automotive ecosystem and financial institutions.
- Proficiency in the local language of the region along with Hindi and English.
- Certification in Sales Management or Leadership from a recognized OEM or institute.
