This role focuses on driving customer retention by managing the end-to-end motor insurance renewal cycle for vehicle owners. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance on policy coverage, offer competitive quotes, and ensure seamless policy issuance within a collaborative and supportive service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively contact existing customers to initiate the motor insurance renewal process before policy expiry dates.
- Generate and present comparative insurance quotes from various empanelled insurance partners to provide the best value to customers.
- Explain complex policy terms, including add-ons like Zero Depreciation, Return to Invoice, and Engine Protector, in simple terms.
- Maintain an accurate database of policy expiries and follow up systematically to achieve high renewal retention targets.
- Coordinate with the service workshop team to verify claim history and ensure accurate No Claim Bonus (NCB) application.
- Manage the collection of premiums and ensure timely issuance of policy documents through the Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports tracking renewal ratios, lost cases, and premium collections.
- Address customer grievances related to insurance documentation and provide support during the initial stages of claim filing.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in motor insurance renewals or general insurance sales.
- Strong understanding of Indian motor insurance regulations and IRDA guidelines.
- Proficiency in using MS Excel for maintaining customer trackers and follow-up sheets.
- Fluency in the local language and functional English to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Proven ability to handle sales pressure and meet monthly renewal targets.
- Excellent telephonic etiquette and persuasion skills.
Preferred
- Previous experience working within an authorized automobile dealership (OEM) setup.
- Valid IRDA / POSP certification for insurance solicitation.
- Familiarity with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) like Autoline, SAP, or MSIL-DMS.
