This role involves spearheading the dealership's sales strategy and leading a high-performing team to exceed monthly retail targets. It focuses on optimizing the customer journey from lead generation to final delivery while ensuring strict adherence to OEM brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Sales Consultants to achieve individual and showroom-level monthly sales targets.
- Monitor and manage the end-to-end sales funnel through the Dealer Management System (DMS) to improve lead conversion rates.
- Oversee showroom floor operations, ensuring all display vehicles and marketing materials meet brand compliance standards.
- Coordinate with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department to ensure seamless loan processing and value-added service penetration.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to develop localized sales promotions and outreach programs.
- Conduct daily morning huddles and weekly performance reviews to identify training needs and address operational bottlenecks.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process to maintain top-tier Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports, inventory requirements, and lost-case analyses to the General Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales targets in a retail environment.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and CRM software common in the Indian auto industry.
- Deep understanding of local automotive market dynamics and customer buying behavior.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license and comfort with conducting test drives.
- Strong command over the local language and English for effective communication.
- Knowledge of vehicle finance, insurance, and RTO registration processes.
Preferred
- Previous experience working with a reputed Indian or International OEM dealership.
- Experience in managing corporate sales or institutional tie-ups.
- Familiarity with digital lead management and social media marketing for dealerships.
