This senior leadership position focuses on driving the profitability and market share of the certified used car division. The role involves overseeing procurement, refurbishment, certification, and sales operations while ensuring strict adherence to OEM standards and customer satisfaction benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of pre-owned vehicle operations, including evaluation, procurement, and inventory management.
- Drive sales targets and achieve monthly and quarterly P&L objectives for the Toyota U Trust division.
- Ensure all vehicles meet the rigorous inspection and certification standards set by the Toyota brand.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of evaluators, sales consultants, and refurbishment technicians to ensure peak performance.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives to increase showroom walk-ins and digital lead generation.
- Maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores through transparent dealings and quality assurance protocols.
- Coordinate closely with the New Car Sales department to optimize exchange programs and trade-in cycles.
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to ensure competitive valuation and optimal selling prices.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in the Indian automotive pre-owned car segment.
- Proven track record in managing a certified used car program, preferably within an OEM framework.
- Deep understanding of vehicle valuation, refurbishment costs, and RTO documentation processes.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of 10 or more members.
- Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and modern CRM software.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills in both English and the local language.
Preferred
- Direct experience with Toyota U Trust operations and certification processes.
- Established network within the local used car dealer ecosystem and auction houses.
- Experience in managing high-volume exchange programs at a Tier-1 dealership.
