This role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions and ensuring accurate record-keeping within a high-volume automotive dealership. The focus is on maintaining statutory compliance and supporting the finance department in delivering timely reports to the management and OEM partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate daily accounting entries in Tally Prime and the dealership's DMS (Dealer Management System).
- Process and track accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely vendor payments and customer collections.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and verify daily cash/cheque deposits from sales and service departments.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B) and TDS payments.
- Verify vehicle stock records against physical inventory and coordinate with the sales team for invoice generation.
- Support the Senior Accountant in preparing monthly Profit and Loss statements and balance sheet schedules.
- Maintain systematic physical and digital documentation for internal and external audit purposes.
- Handle petty cash management and ensure all branch expenses are properly authorized and recorded.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of core accounting experience, preferably in the Indian automotive sector.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9 is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Indian taxation laws including GST, TDS, and TCS.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, specifically using VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) from a recognized university.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment with high transaction volumes.
Preferred
- Experience working with Automotive DMS software like Autoline, ADP, or similar OEM-specific tools.
- Familiarity with RTO and insurance accounting processes.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period.

On-site dealership office; 6 days per week (typically 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM); standard Indian automotive industry working hours.
