This role involves driving vehicle sales by building strong customer relationships and providing expert product demonstrations. It requires managing the entire sales lifecycle from initial inquiry to final delivery while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and brand loyalty within the competitive automotive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct professional product demonstrations and organized test drives for prospective customers to highlight vehicle features.
- Manage lead generation through cold calling, showroom walk-ins, and field activities to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Maintain and update the Dealer Management System (DMS) daily with accurate lead status, follow-up notes, and customer interactions.
- Coordinate with Finance and Insurance departments to provide comprehensive purchase solutions and facilitate loan approvals.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for vehicles, accessories, and value-added services as defined by the management.
- Facilitate the vehicle delivery process, ensuring all documentation is complete and providing a premium experience for the customer.
- Conduct home visits and corporate presentations to expand the customer base and increase brand visibility within the assigned territory.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive retail sales or high-value consumer durables.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets consistently in a target-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the local regional language.
- Valid four-wheeler driving license is mandatory for conducting customer test drives.
- Proficient in using digital tools, CRM software, and MS Office applications for reporting.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with a customer-centric approach.
Preferred
- Prior experience working with a Tier-1 or Tier-2 automotive OEM dealership network.
- Basic understanding of motor insurance (IRDA norms), RTO processes, and vehicle financing schemes.
- Ability to leverage social media platforms and digital marketing for lead generation.
