BODYSHOP ADVISOR

This role acts as a vital link between the customer, insurance companies, and the technical team to ensure seamless accident repair services. It involves managing the entire lifecycle of bodywork repairs while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed initial damage assessments and prepare accurate repair estimates for customers and insurance surveyors.

• Facilitate the insurance claim process, including documentation, coordination with surveyors for inspections, and obtaining approvals for cashless repairs.

• Monitor the progress of vehicle repairs in the workshop to ensure adherence to promised delivery timelines and OEM quality standards.

• Communicate regularly with customers regarding repair status, costs, and additional findings discovered during the teardown process.

• Verify final repair quality and ensure all parts replaced align with the approved insurance estimate before vehicle delivery.

• Manage Dealer Management System (DMS) entries for job cards, parts requisition, and invoicing for both insurance and retail components.

• Achieve monthly targets for bodyshop labor revenue, parts sales, and value-added services like ceramic coating or anti-rust treatments.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience specifically in an authorized dealership bodyshop environment.

• Deep understanding of motor insurance policies, claim procedures, and surveyor negotiation.

• Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) such as SAP, Autoline, or brand-specific platforms.

• Strong technical knowledge of body structure repairs, denting, and painting processes.

• Excellent communication skills in the local language and English for effective customer and surveyor interaction.

• Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and demanding customer timelines.

Preferred

• Previous experience working with premium or luxury automotive brands.

• Certification in specialized estimation software like Audatex.

• Valid four-wheeler driving license for moving vehicles within the workshop premises.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or B.E./B.Tech in Automobile Engineering

Experience: 5 to 8 years in automotive bodyshop operations

Certifications: OEM Bodyshop Advisor Certification, Insurance claim processing workshop certification
