This role involves bridging the gap between OEM standards and dealership execution by elevating the technical and behavioral competencies of workshop staff. The focus is on ensuring high-quality vehicle maintenance and customer satisfaction through continuous learning, evaluation, and hands-on mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured classroom and hands-on technical training sessions for automobile technicians and service advisors.
- Develop and update training modules in alignment with new vehicle launches and OEM technical bulletins.
- Train workshop staff on the proficient use of advanced diagnostic tools, scanners, and electronic testing equipment.
- Monitor and evaluate the technical competency levels of the service team through regular assessments.
- Provide on-the-job mentoring to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical vehicle issues on the shop floor.
- Ensure 100% compliance with OEM certification requirements for all service personnel.
- Deliver soft skills training to service advisors to improve customer handling, grievance redressal, and service marketing.
- Maintain detailed records of training attendance, assessment scores, and certification status for audit purposes.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of BS-VI engine technology, transmission systems, and automotive electrical circuits.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an authorized dealership or OEM training environment.
- Proficiency in using Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and various diagnostic software.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple instructions in local languages and English.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to engage a diverse audience.
- Willingness to travel to different workshop locations within the assigned territory.
- Hands-on experience with modern vehicle repair tools and safety protocols.
Preferred
- Prior experience as a Master Technician or Workshop Supervisor in a high-volume dealership.
- Official OEM-certified trainer status from a major automotive brand.
- Familiarity with Electric Vehicle (EV) architecture and high-voltage safety standards.
- Experience in curriculum design or instructional material development.

Work Environment
This is an on-site role involving a mix of classroom environments and active workshop shop floors. It follows a standard 6-day work week with occasional travel to regional service centers.
